Regardless of where you live, the needs of your loved one run high and the amount of time to manage those needs is always limited. ACS provides you a personal concierge to help navigate any system and keep the family on a focused, steady, proactive path across the lifespan.

We believe that life without balance will create dis-ease. ACS is here to help you restore balance & harmony, so you have time to do the things that have gone unattended. Take nonessentials off your plate, share the load, and trust that together, we can make sense of this journey.

PRIVATE CASE MANAGEMENT
We support a collaborative process that includes identifying and prioritizing comprehensive needs, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation and advocacy across all settings. ACS works with multiple community and school partners.
INFORMATION & REFERRAL
It's difficult to know which direction to turn. Your concierge will do the research and provide convenient assistance, community information & referrals to connect you with resources.

FUTURES PLANNING
In today's world, parents must be proactive about their loved one's future. Whether the focus is long term support services, transition planning, determining guardianship issues, or future living options, sound advice will assist you in making these decisions.
QUALITY OF LIFE MONITORING
If your loved one is dependent on others for care and living in an alternative setting, ACS can provide another set of eyes to assist in monitoring health & safety, participate in review meetings, serve as liaison between the facility & guardian and expertly address specific needs.
HOUSING CONSULTATION
ACS has a Housing Concierge to guide you through the process in creating an individualized living situation for your loved one. There are a continuum of residential options, but limited openings. Maybe it's time to think outside the box and design an alternative living space.

BEHAVIOR COACHING
We know you do the best you can in managing behavior. Sometimes, there are behavioral changes that require different interventions, but you are not sure what that is. ACS can conveniently provide you behavior coaching through phone & video-conference calls. If your family needs more intensive 1:1 support, we have community partners who can help.
FINANCIAL RESOURCES
There are multiple funding sources that you may qualify for, including Supplemental Security Income, Medicaid Waiver Programs, grants, nonprofit programs and more. We can help you determine which one is appropriate for your situation.
PARENT COACHING
Sometimes our parenting style doesn't match a child's learning style. Conflict occurs and it's easy to remain stuck doing the same thing with the same results. Adding new strategies to your parenting toolbox is helpful as you move along the developmental continuum with your loved one. We help you understand the basics of child development, neurofunctioning and provide you with fresh ideas to implement TODAY!

Additional Information
Kathy Palomo has an adventurous and creative spirit that has taken her around the world as she studied world cultures, human behavior and compassion. She has a consulting background in the areas of autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental/behavioral health. After 38 years in the Texas educational system as an educator, teacher trainer, parent/family engagement coordinator, special education consultant, mediator, parent coach, community organizer, grant writer and champion for individuals with a disability, she is now taking an alternative approach to serving others. She has served as President of the Board for the Autism Society of Texas and was an active member of the Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Alliance of Central Texas.
Kathy utilizes her knowledge by focusing on the strengths of the family while creating solutions for complicated situations. She has presented on a wide range of topics internationally and locally.
When she is not sitting at your kitchen table drinking a cup of coffee, you may find her writing, practicing Spiritual Mediumship skills, studying Theology, pursuing life's next adventure...or blissfully sitting on a rock in the heart of Mother Earth...smiling in gratitude.
